Fair enough Jutie. I just have a huge problem with something I'm not sure is safe. I know some of the stories will have been exaggerated, and the latest story about the English government offering bribes to householders makes me even more suspicious.
These people don;t give away money to ordinary little people for nothing. Even when they wanted to dump low level radio active material and the locals had a referendum that showed a 93% vote against, Pickles (that's Sir Pickles to you and me) overruled it and paid no compensation for loss of value to property and potential health hazards.
Nope, if these people are handing out money, it's gotta be for a reason.
Sorry Tris, the 38 degrees headline stopped me clicking the link.
ReplyDeleteGordon Broon loving ars@oles.

Yeah Jim. I see Germany has plain banned it, along with France.
DeleteOf course they have the power to do that.
We only have the power to put a moratorium on it.
the world's most frequent earthquakes are now on fracked land in Oklahoma.
ReplyDeleteIt's too uncertain.
DeleteI've no objection if it is safe, and we have no other ways of getting the gas... but it doesn't seem safe.
And Tess handing out money to people won't make it safe.
