  1. Love 14 and 9 made me start singing, (not out loud thankfully )
Bet I'm humming it all afternoon now.
It's grey sky's and rain here, but now I'm smiling and humming,
    thanks panda paws :)

    1. oh Issy it's Tris that deserves the thanks. I merely came up with the title. Though I suppose I kinda persuaded him to post before he went on holiday - so yeah I'll take that thanks :-)

  2. the puma is adorable as were the little ducks. Been watching a documentary about New Zealand on iplayer. Did you know that more species of penguin live in New Zealand than any other country? But they don't have a munguin though - only Scotland. And it goes without saying that the orangs were delightful though I just said it.

Anyway hope Tris has a great holiday - this will tide us over until his return.

    1. hi Gerry

Since the master and his slave Tris are on holiday and I was the one who persuaded him to post, I'll do the reply thingy.

Glad you enjoyed the photos. I always like the ones you submit - you are good with the ole camera.

    1. it looks fine in the summer, bit chilly and icy the rest of the time. But naw your bus pass won't work there. But there are some awfy pretty places in Scotland you can get too instead.

    2. And the Scots one's can be chilly and icy any time of the year at all.

    1. Can I just say Helena that my only contribution to fotos on Friday was the title and the pleading for there to be one. That Tris was the one who said speccy and furry. I'd never say things like speccy though furry possibly!

  6. hmm the good thing about global warming is there will be less
    speccy furry smelly animals about.....
and no more soppy sunday and nats waffling nonsense about wild
dangerous beasts (such as conan ) being all sweet and nice when
they would bite yer arm off.

this to me is the ideal environment

    3. I'm with Niko. What's better than a stretch of asphalt that takes as through a nice wilderness area.

    4. Heavens... and I thought that you guys liked furry things.

Maybe we should have Tarmac Tuesday???

    5. Sooner or later I was bound to agree with Niko about something. I love nature....and a nice highway to drive to it. ;-)

    6. Well it's not obligatory to agree with Niko, you know!

But it's happened by pure chance a few times over the last years of the blog!

  7. That's a fantastic photo of Afghanistan - it set me off on a youtube adventure of pre-Soviet invasion (or positive intervention, if you're a third-wayer) Kabul. I met an amazing woman in Glasgow a few years back who had been trekking in Afghanistan when she was a student. It is almost unthinkable now that it used to be part of the hippie trail.

    1. It's incredibly beautiful, Terry. I'd love to go, but it's too dangerous now and they hate Brits.

But yes... How it all changed.
