  1. DON'T FORGET THE CLOCKS CHANGE TONIGHT.

Euan McColm has tweeted that the person who leaked the currency was a very senior senior Tory. How interesting...

    1. hmmm... I think we eat deer too; and little lambs.

Oh nooooooooooo indeed. What else could they say?

I know horrid horrid nats... Terrible of them to say all these horrid things about mr Cameron and Mr Gideon, who are just doing their best for, as Mr Cameron (whose Granddad lived outside Inverness) said, on the occasion of being told that the Chinese had said that Britain was a corpse...

      ".....this sceptred isle, this England..."

Rule Britannia, I say, even though I heard on the news today that they don't have a navy any more (apart from the nukies).

I think you should change your name to Nikos now you've become a Greek Cypriot... what do you think.

Γεια σου Νίκο ... Ελπίζω ότι θα είναι πολύ χαρούμενος στο νησί σας και σας εύχομαι μια μακρά και θαυμάσια συνταξιοδότησης. :)

    2. Bon voyage Niko and keep out of politics as I would hate that you scuppered someones chances of democracy an alien concept to your good self. A treat for Taz.

    1. Not yet, Dean. I hope they are getting ready from the influx of immigrants as places farther south (like Somerset) become uninhabitable.

Actually we were looking at going there this summer.... but have you seen the airfares?????

    2. CH... I was looking at temperatures when America was getting conditions where waves were freezing in the air...

      Minus 40...

Must be coming from the north, I thought, and I had a look at Nuuk temperatures. To my great surprise it was between 0 and 8 degrees at Nuuk International...

Things are changing for whatever reason...

    1. Thanks Rolf. It's an amazing place. Of course it's huge and there is a great variation in what it looks like, but these bits in the south are not unlike Scotland (except we don't have icebergs floating pas as we build sandcastles on the beach...)

      I'm glad you enjoyed them.

  5. Rolfe you beat me to it. Lovely especially those polar bears. I know in real life they'd have your head off in a second, but they are gorgeous. Now Munguin don't get jealous; I mentioned you over at Kevin Mckenna's piece on online pro yes blogs so hopefully you'll get more traffic.

    1. More power to Glasgow's online journalists

The narrow pattern of ownership of the media in the UK has always belied the industry's lofty claim to be the fourth estate and the sentinels of democracy. Our national newspapers, with the exception of this one and its sister, the Guardian, are at the heart of the very establishment we purport to hold to account. The best of the political blogs and websites are already beginning to challenge and rebuke the way that the course of politics is ordered in this country and how that is conveyed to the rest of us.

There can be little doubt that things are changing, and once the tide turns, there's not stopping it.
