THE QUESTION IS...

...AND WE'D LOVE TO KNOW THE ANSWER

Was Ruth fed duff information by her team and go ahead without checking to see if it was correct?  It happens. You read something somewhere and accept it as fact. Then embarrassingly it turns out to be incorrect, incomplete or a hoax.

It's even happened to Munguin on the odd occasion. But not in parliament.

Or did Ruth know perfectly well that the criticism of the health service that she was making was in fact nothing to do with the Scottish organisation, but in fact, about the English health service...run by her rt hon friend Mr Hunt?

I'm pretty sure that as she was doing it on our pay cheque we probably have a right to know which it is.

Now, in fairness, Ruth never put herself forward as a potential first minister. She didn't reach that high. Amazingly she actually promoted herself as a potential leader of the opposition. And she got the gig.

But presumably the leader of an opposition party somewhere deep down inside has ambition to be the leader of the country?

So, do we want an incompetent for FM, or maybe an out and out fibber?

Neither, you say?

Thought not.

Oh, and as she was happy enough to make a song and dance about these shortcomings  in parliament, now that she knows that she got the country wrong, will she be having a word with Mr Hunt about what an all-fired mess he's making of a service that many of my friends rely upon, and are being bitterly let down by?

To be honest anything that shows her up to be exactly what she is is fine with me. I really can't stand her, she is fake and no matter how loudly or for how long she shouts nothing will change that. Like Dugdale she is out her depth and the only reason she survives is the fact that there is zero media coverage of anything she does or says other than silly photos and SNP bad Union great. If she ever does get a hard time she will suddenly be all over the papers saying she is going to adopt or something, she is a clown and a nasty Tory one at that.Let her have her moment in the sun, her time will come and sooner than she thinks.

    1. I was going to that that it's worrying that we have to depend on Wings or Ginger Dug to investigate this, but it's just another bit of progress.

      The internet is people power.

Cn you imagine, before the internet, what would we have done for information. The BBC, Daily Mail, Sun N Express would have been the only source of information we had.

Yes, both of them are out of their depth. But there's only Jackson (Second hand) Car Lot and Murdo "Twitter" Fraser for the Tories and heaven knows absolutely no one for Labour left. I can't wait for them to try Anas.

Still, it will be a different set of laughs when they go and are replaced by other clowns.

    1. LOL I try to give most of them the benefit of the doubt.

I see you don't think that there's an doubt to give them the benefit of :¬)

  4. She knew fine well what she was doing, the old newspaper headline schtick, grabs the attention but in no way has the facts; the tame media will deflect any criticism of her.

    1. Well, that is their HUGE advantage. As so many people have said about so many situations like this... Can you imagine if an SNP person had done that? What would STV, BBC and McFadyen et al have made of it. Headlines for weeks!

You completely underestimate Ruthie. She is quite capable of being a liar and incompetent simultaneously. Just because you men can't multi task :-)

    1. Thanks Panda Paws. I keep forgetting as a mere monotasker, that there are people who are capable of making an ass of more than one thing at a time.

Munguin says he can multi-task. He can issue orders to all sorts of people at one time.

  6. We know she won't be pointing anything out to Hunt, improvement of the NHS wasn't her purpose.
I would stop using phrases like 'in fairness'.
Farage was ridiculed but he got his way, the (S)Tories and Davidson were talked about disparagingly but they doubled their MSPs. The Tories spent years dismantling Britain but embark on imposing 'Britishness' on the UK. Folks witter on about Corbyn and his principled stand, neither he nor Smith will lead Britain, the Tories will.
    'In fairness' isn't useful anymore.
We have a chance in Scotland but there are many who ignore or seem OK with the above.

    1. LOL Brian I know.

      I was being sarcastic.

I wonder if there is a movement of people away from the parties of the past. Maybe Blair sickened everyone even more than we thought.

Farage and Johnson take Britain out of Europe with not one single realistic plan for the aftermath; Trump in with a chance of being the most powerful man in the West. Corbyn in charge of Labour and likely to be re-elected; Scotland with an SNP government in its third term?

We live in interesting times. I just wish we lived in MORE interesting times.

  7. It just shows that behind all the bluster and predjudice, there isn't a lot going on. Maybe it was the burly men in Annan that did it.

    1. You can never really tell when there are burly men around, can you?

    2. I doubt it was the Burly men in Annan PS.

We did a strict trawl throughout Annan immediately after THAT tweet was sent and even now ... over a year later we can still NOT find the burly men in question.

I suppose had she actually arrived in her leetle tankette as promised 🤔 then things may have turned out differently but as it is she never appeared leading her Tory Panzer division. We were all quite upset, no really we were. We had tank traps set up ... anti tank guns laid out ... bazooka's distributed ... everything in fact ready to repel all oncomers and ... NOTHING! 😂

    3. Damn, but life's such a bummer. Lieutenant Ruthie Gruber must have been making up the burly men story too, huh?

I wonder if she's thinking of taking over from Hans Christian Andersen?

  8. Isn't the real problem the thought that many people will read of Davidson's allegation (and believe it), but few will read Wings & MR to find out it was a lie.

    1. Of course, it is a bit like the newspaper headlines that say one thing when the story says something else.

    2. And there you have a very real problem. We could really do with organised teams to disseminate rapidly news fliers everywhere. You'd think a party with 1 out of 50 of the population members could manage it.

We need to all be little Wallace's. Take the fight to them as individuals. Even if we just run off 50 or 100 fliers every other night and stick them through the neighbours doors. Waiting for leadership is a forlorn prospect. We are on our own.

    3. Jeez, they'd be at it night and day trying to sort the propaganda of politicians, the BBC, The Daily Heil, not to mention that one man SNP BAAAAAAD hack MrFadyen.

We'd need 49 out of 50 ion the job.

    1. Possibly. She certainly did, but she'd just say she didn't know and it was error.

  10. Methinks the person has westminster ambitions and desperately needs Scotland to stay in UK as a runway to that or at least the cred of fighting for the union come the move down south to seek election down there. Scots are just a stepping stone.
