SOME BUSINESSES HAVE A LOT OF CONFIDENCE IN SCOTLAND MR BARRHEAD

Despite Mr Munroe of Barrhead Travel warning his staff, in his laughable epistle (found by Stuart and containing all the usual currency, debt and EU scare stories), that independence would be a disaster for Scotland in general, and his travel agency in particular (presumably with the idea of frightening/coercing them into voting NO), it seems that not every company is so negative about the economic future of Scotland.

Maybe Mr Munroe is worried that an independent Scotland would be such a nice place to live that people would not longer want to travel abroad so frequently?

Or maybe he was just hoping, like so many other "top" unionists, that one day he'd get to be Sir Munroe, or Lord Barrhead? (Not a good choice incidentally, Jimbo, as in the refined tones so abundant in the House of Lords, that would come out as Baaahead, and you wouldn't want that, would you?)

  2. How unenterprising are so many so-called entrepreneurs. The likes of this character seem to run their businesses covered in some kind of security blanket where they can have guarantees of a never-changing future. Not very entrepreneurial! I'm glad Business for Scotland is full of people wanting to make the most of the opportunities ahead of them, rather than this wee fear tie.

    1. I agree. I'd be worried to work for a company that had so little vision that it wanted stuff to stay the same forever.

Business for Scotland is another godsend to the campaign, because the Scottish CBI is a Brit Nat organisation.

  3. This is classic!

Alistair Darling... that's him that said that a currency union would be the natural thing.... then said that we could absolutely not in any circumstances whatsoever have one (despite his previous statement)... now says that we should put it to a vote of .wait for it... English voters.

    ENGLISH voters.

Not Welsh voters, not Northern Ireland voters; not it would appear Scottish voters. Not to mention any of the other countries that are in currency union with ENGLAND.

So there you go. That's Darling's latest wheeze on the currency question.

No wonder even Tories think he's dim witted.
