SUNDAY IS NATURE DAY

  1. I'm always amazed at the bonds, between animals and "man". The first picture, an orphan elephant and a human, quite extraordinary.
I'm no vegetarian but, I think we should treat the other inhabitants of this Earth with more respect.

    1. I loved that first one too Jim. I'd love to look after an elephant like that and give it security , but I'm thinking my third floor flat in Munguin Towers is probably not adapted to elephants...

So I content myself with looking after a few birds and mice in the garden shed, and of course, Munguin!

  2. Great pics. I'm not usually the nasty type, but I can't help but notice the resemblance between the Eye-Eye (?, 3rd pic) and a certain Jim Murphy.

    1. Both endangered species but, I suspect the Aye-aye has more people working on it's preservation.

    2. Besides which it is infinitely better looking. I mean he's cute. You can't imagine anyone anywhere saying that about Murphy.

    3. Aye-aye? I thought it was yoda! Actually jimnarlene, according to the Herald Sunday, there are a lot of people being bussed into East Ren specifically to ensure the preservation of Jimicus Murphyis. And as I wrote a few weeks ago, Tories in the constituency are, according to Ashcroft, tactically voting to keep SNP out. I'm told canvessing suggests it's touch and go.

    4. Both cheeks, of the same arse, right enough.

    5. Figures that show the SNP vote staying the same: Labour increasing by 5% and Tories decreasing by 5%, seem to be pretty conclusive. Jim is now a Tory.

    6. Well, he always was.

  3. Is that cloud effect at five the start of a whirlwind or summat? I would be scared for my continued existence if I was under that.

Amazing photos and I love the baby elephant.

    1. Yeah I think that's what it is. It's terrifying. Makes you think about the people who live in parts of the world where this happens on a regular basis... The USA for example.

    2. Oh yeah... the baby elephant is my favourite for this week.

It's just amazing. The poor wee thing still needs the kind of love that a parent would give.

      There's a lesson there somewhere.
