WE MIGHT HAVE HAD THE POWER TO STOP THIS IN SCOTLAND...BUT LABOUR VOTED WITH THE TORIES TO KEEP IT IN LONDON

I am totally in agreement with this. We must work together to prevent the passing of the horrific legislation that the Tories are proposing which will remove the rights from workers. The Tory trade Union Bill is a step WAY too far.
However,  if they are serious about beating the Tories on unions, why did they fight tooth and nail with the very same Tories to maintain Westminster hegemony over trades union legislation. Surely even the meanest intelligence would know that in an independent Scotland, the various possibilities of government, coalition or single party, will not (at least for a VERY long time) include the Tories. Surely they understood that Labour or the SNP, or even the Greens or Liberals would never propose this kind of legislation? No, agreeing with the Tories and doing down the SNP was more important than the union law which may very well pass despite the combined efforts of Corbyn's Labour Party, the SNP and the smaller parties. When will Labour understand that London doesn't give a stuff about trades unions or the working person?

  1. It's the Labour way, cutting the nose off to spite the face. I don't think it'll change much, under Corbyn.

    1. Time and time again on Twitter I see people say that what finished Labour for them was that they voted with the Tories on so many things. Under the regime back then, they hardly cared about Trades Unions, which Blairism despises.

  2. Interesting that the Socialist Corby has promoted Charlie Falconer to Justice, that will be Lord Falconer who nobody but Tony Blair voted for. Trouble with Labour is that it has been well and truly suborned by the Establishment and are seen as safe pairs of hands if the Tories fail to convince the punters to vote for them.

    1. That was a mystery to me. He's Blair's man and I don;t think there's much of a socialist about him. Still he has to try to unite the party I guess, and Charlie's from the Blairite faction.

  3. Just in case you didn't know about Chris Law's petition Tris. I think Munguin will be keenly interested in it even if no one else is. LOL

  4. Thanks Arbroath. Munguin is a regular traveller to the continent and as such would find it a great asset. We really need flights form Dundee. It would make getting to the mainland so much easier.

I'm sure he'll have a word in the right earhole!

    1. Ha ha ha ha...

Well it was good for her at the time, and now it's good for her to be a right wing nutter...

And yes, it was she who behaved like a petulant child with Alex Salmond.

She comes over as a tad dim.
