  1. Beautiful pictures, again, Tris.
No.11 looks like a dinosaur, and I love the lenticular clouds; over the mountain.
Though, I must have slept through Saturday.

    1. Yes, Sunday came a day early this week, due to me being an idiot... and not knowing what day it was. Munguin is withholding my salary for this month as a result.

      Ho hum!

I might change the title...whatcha think?

  2. Love the first picture. And the three eagle(?) chicks, reminds me of Cameron, Clegg and Milliband!

    1. It's in Northern Iceland, Anon.

The three chicks will probably never forgive you for that..so watch out because they may grow quite big. Not sure what they are...the caption (from the Daily Telegraph) just called them 'baby birds'.

  3. Ah bless. The 8th picture somehow reminds of a Labour Conference. :)

    1. no it's not their conference. It's the Labour activist's faces at the Emirates as the Glasgow GE result's came in :-)

    2. Once again, I have to say, these birds are not likely to be happy with your comparisons.

Can't say I blame them. I'd not like to be insulted like that!

      :)

  4. Came just in time for me Tris! Your loss of salary has not been in vain! Thanks. Really love your 'Soppy Sunday' posts, even (maybe especially) on a Saturday.

    1. Och well Braco, I'm glad I was early. Even if it shows a worrying lack of awareness.

I really must get a grip.

Munguin's idea of a salary means that I won't actually notice its absence as such.

  5. Well it has been a week of horrid news so I am glad you mislaid a day, coming from someone who often has to consult her computer as to which day it is. I also have to say that I adored all the comments on the three birdies, funny how of all the baby creatures on earth the ugliest are the birds, only mothers can love them. The little Koala, now why do they call that fat horrible man Carmichael koala, he has nothing of the charm of them but of course they do not do much work so maybe that will be why.

    1. LOL I think I see what you mean about the birds, but, I think they are cute... so thier mothers and me... could love them.

Carmichael a koala? Heavens no, he's a human, probably the worst kind of animal, and he's not a very pleasant example at that.

  6. The pictures are a bot poignant, given that some scientists claim the Earth could be entering an extinction period.

Could be true, given what happened to the Lib Dems everywhere and Labour in Scotland........

    1. Yeah, but your two examples won't much be missed... I mean the Tories have been pretty much extinct here for 20 years and has anyone missed them?

I suspect we'd miss some of the animals an awful lot more. I would anyway.

    1. When you're that wee, it doesn't take much to make you sleepy...

Love watching parent birds teaching the young to get food. I have starlings come to the bird table and the babies just stand there looking at the meal worms, fat and sultanas and wait till the parents pick it up and feed it to them, but it doesn't take long for them to catch on to what they have to do.

I want to be David Attenborough when I grow up!

  8. Some lovely photo's again. You're worth every penny of your salary Tris.

Or is it you're worth the whole penny of the salary Munguin gives you?

I'm enjoying the nice warm fuzzy feeling the photo's generate in me as Sunday starts, nice time of the morning this.

    1. We-llll Gerry. If you look at it on an annual basis, I suppose it does come to pennies...

      :)

I think we all need a wee while away from politics.

      So glad you enjoy it.

      Munguin will be pleased. :)
