I do wonder sometimes if the queen did actually did purr down the phone at Cameron, or if she actually snarled. I should imagine that Cameron arrogant that he probably wouldn't recognise the difference.
If she has any sense and that includes one which leans heavily on self preservation she should start reading all of the blogs this one included, She can then make a considered judgement as to whether she should be happy with her relative as PM.
Who are the British ??? anyways they mean Tory rights which is whatever benefits the Torys and there wealthy backers................and not the little people hardworking or not
I have always feared that a British Bill of Rights would be angled towards the landed gentry and aristocracy, and of course with this spiv government, the bankers and City og London people.
As you say... not the little people in the North, or Wales, Ireland or Cornwall.
Id rather stick with the European one. Brits more or less wrote it, but they wrote it for other people, so they had no need to write in special clauses for the rich and posh. Even if there were rich and posh people in other countries, they weren't "our sport of people".
Niko, I tend to think those who are now in "Charge" those who have been in charge since the arrival of the Norman overlords in 1066 have an angle and it is to see how far back they can get the rights for the "Serfs". I would look closely at the period before and after the Black Death reduced the number of serfs available to work the fields etc which gave the workers some rights, like earning a living instead of just surviving. I think that is the period that inch by bloody inch this Government is heading and if the people of your "Britain" do not waken up soon they will find themselves with no rights whatever.

ReplyDeleteIf Cameron woke me at 4 am, I know what I'd have done, but I'm sure her majesty wouldn't have been so coarse. Philip, maybe...
DeleteWell I don't think she ever thought we would have one under the Tories, well neither do I Liz, so for once we are in agreement.
ReplyDeleteShe'll be comforted by that Helena. I'm sure MR is standard reading in the palace!!!
