Fotos on Friday from Far East.

Munguin reader, David, went to Japan, and he brought us back some pictures. Well, all except the last one, which we include because of its resemblance to the pic just before it.

Grateful thanks, David. It looks fantastic. If only we could afford to go there.
Just when you were enjoying the beautiful pictures, something had to come along as spoil it all.

  1. The last two pictures are the same! Duplicated in error?

    1. NO, there are differences, if you regard carefully. The first one is quite good looking and his nose reflects light. In the second one the nose reflects years of good living on the taxpayer.

The first might be described as God-like; the second one as "God, what's that like?"

The first one has never been hauled by the polis, out of the gutter holding on to an elderly lady, and invited to spend the night at the pleasure of her majesty... Need I go on?

    2. The first is a good looking god, the second is a not so good looking....

    3. Douglas has been exposed.... he thinks Foulkes is a God......

      The propaganda is working!

Actually, I thought Foulkes first name was Arthur, as "Ar fur f***'s sake")

    1. It was David who pointed out the likeness, I felt it only fair to share that.

    1. As a bit of a gardener myself, I can appreciate just how much work goes into their creation.

I wish I had to the time, money and vision to build a proper one.

  4. As someone who can't afford to go to Joppa never mind Japan, thanks for sharing the lovely photos David. And Tris PW, the art of blogging is to learn when to stop. There was no need whatsoever for that last picture :-)

Only two days to Soppy Sunday, yeah!

    1. I'll try to remember that PP.

You're only annoyed because there weren't any orangutans in Japan!

  5. I am referring you to my Solicitors Argue & Phibbs for the shock I received when I scrolled down to the last photograph. I had to spend an hour on my day bed recovering.

Lovely pictures from Japan, a more more distinctive style compared to the Chinese.

    1. Oh no. I knew you were Jake Kay in disguise. What is a poor Munguin to do? He's down to his last billion or so. Please don't sue. He can;t imagine life without Château Rothschild!

Love the gardens. I wonder, is everything so neat and precise in Japan, or is it only what we see?

  6. Baron Bottle follows the Twitter account of Michael Cove and endorses a lot of the crap he spouts out. It's "Cove" not "Gove" as well.

  7. Lovely pictures. I was thinking how nice Japan looks, then I remebered that it's a bit foreign and not British at all so that put me off it I'm afraid! The good Baron would agree I'm sure.

On the sunject of Foulkes, for the second time today I am going to have to confess that I voted for him once. I am truly sorry everyone.

    1. Ouch....

Oh well, we all do daft things when we are young.

Of course, even if Japan isn't part of the British Empire, it does have redeeming features... well quite a lot really.

  8. I realized yesterday Niko was feeling rather pleased with himself but I think submitting that photo showing his smugness in full flow is a bit under the belt to us poor cultists, he has no compassion. For that alone I hope he is paying the highest rate of council tax as he looks too well fed for my liking (Niko that is not Fffffffskie)

    1. Yes, I think that he lives in a mansion in Morningside, so I expect that he will have to fork out the top payment. Still, I understand he's loaded so I doubt it will bother him much.

    5. I think if Trump wins he will be unable to push forward some of his more extreme policies - reality will prevail.

Think the US have got themselves into a similar situation Labour have - people are fed up with the cloned politicians and want a change. Republican "senior figures" are now panicking, which can only mean more votes for Trump.

    6. I doubt he will get much through Zog. The Republicans in Congress will be against him, and the Democrats are unlikely to want to help him.

He'll be a dead duck president form day 1.

But you are right. people are sick of the current politics, and both sides are looking for something different.

Even if someone else wins they are going to have to be aware that a lot of people are not interested in the "cloned politicians".

Iain Macwhirter has a good piece. I think it's still in the blog list.
