FUNDED BY THE UK GOVERNMENT II

WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG WITH FRANCIS URQUHART'S MAUDE'S SCHEME?

...SILLY QUESTION. IT WAS FRANCIS MAUDE'S IDEA... THAT'S ALL YOU NEED TO HAVE IT GO WRONG. BIT LIKE TELLING PEOPLE TO STORE PETROL REALLY FRANCIS, HUH?

  1. They seem to have the unerring ability to come up with slogans, posters and ideas, that can easily be turned against them.

    2. The referendum DID happen Nico, no one is denying the fact. We refute, however, the statement that we are "better together".

    3. This is not a referendum. We need to make up our minds who will run this union that we chose to stay in.

We have a choice. It is either the Tories or Labour. Because they are more or less the same, they will almost certainly not get an overall majority like in the old days when you could tell them apart. They will therefore, need help to get legislation through. In most countries this is the normal way of doing things. Nothing frightening about it at all.

If the SNP don't get many seats, then the party that is most likely to do the enabling is the Liberals. We know that they are Tories in human clothing so look forward to more poverty, exploitation, misery and death among the working classes adn more of the likes of Mr Rifkind and Straw making more money out of their part time jobs than they do out of what we always thought was a full time job.

If the SNP get enough people to make a difference, we will get some left of centre policies and with a real focus on Scotland, and hopefully the upper class of bankers, lords, MPs, royals and other top people will look forward to getting away with rather less, while the rest of us start to get something back.

      Simple.

Do I want a butchers apron telling me that the Brits paid for everything, like they do in Ethiopia or Bangladesh? No.

Do I think it is a cracking idea of Mr Maude's. No. I think it's a crap idea from a crap man.
If you have money to put flags on stuff try feeding the bloody starving... would be my take on it. I don't care whether your talking union flags or Saltires or EU flags. You can't bloody eat flags.

But then, as much as I don't care about flags, Niko, jolly well Francis, jolly well Maude doesn't care about starving people, because he's never been and never will be hungry and not able to pay for a jolly well wonderful meal.

You may agree with him of course, and that is your prerogative.

I see in any case that Ms Stewart, one of your Labour MPs has proposed a grand coalition of Tory and Labour.

So maybe you won't have to worry about the Liberals or the SNP.

    4. As Alex Salmond once said: “it is not for flags and anthems that we fight, but for fairness and compassion”.

Come on, tell me we'll ever get that from the Tories or Labour?

  4. Tris

I am just up, have to go to work, and what do I find when I check out your blog while having my coffee. I'll tell you, the most disgusting flag ever designed by anyone and one that brings fear to many. Would not wipe my arse on it or Maude either for that matter.

  5. Right on topic, as usual, I wonder if her Maj asked Harris why he wanted his kangaroo tied down? I hope she washed her hands after shaking his. To be fair, as she probably handled Phil the Greek, I hope she wears her gloves when I go to collect my knight-hood.

  6. It makes you think... and of course one begins to wonder about Jake the Peg.

I'm not sure her majesty actually shakes hands with the hoi poloi.

But she probably has with Lard Sir Leon, so I'd steer clear of her hands if I were you.

Munguin says could you remind her that despite being a republican, he'd not mind a lordhood, if she has any going cheap!
