    1. You're welcome John. My friend Dani sent it to me a couple of days ago, and I was hugely impressed. Just wanted to share it.

True too Niko. If only people had listened to Dr King!

What a different world it could be.

    1. I've always believed that there was hope for Niko. Spookie saw something good in him... and that'll do for me.

Fatted calf held in readiness. :)

  4. It's strange, when he could talk like that, that he's remembered as a silent clown with a funny moustache.

    1. Indeed, he seems to be a bit of a real actor... and of course he was also a songwriter and film director... not to mention prolific father, into his old age.

  6. Those were the days of the implementation of democracy quickly overtaken by corporatism by complicit politicians and the MSM.

A post-broadcast BBC: time for the public to speak?

At any event, in news and current affairs the top-down approach has been much less successful. The BBC’s managers have taken their cues from politicians and from senior figures in finance and business. Journalists have either accepted the terms of this elite consensus or failed to prosper. As a result, the BBC has given audiences a version of public life that is at best radically incomplete and at worst downright misleading.

    1. Well, there's no doubt there's a lot of truth in that.

I don't know what the future of the BBC is, but It sure isn't the way it is at the moment.

Neither the funding, nor the organisation meets the needs of today. The whole thing is far too big, and far too dependent on Westminster government.

The guy made a good point. It was set up at the time of Empire. That says all you need to know.

And to be honest the latest idea of a BBC tax on every household is monstrous, and will almost certainly be a second poll tax.

    2. That household tax flies in the face of democracy which the UK normally imposes with bombs or arming insurgents to do their dirty work for them.

I believe you have a gathering of Yessers in Dundee tomorrow so the weekly ritual of sin abolition will be off the must do list. ;)

    3. Oh. Munguin wasn't informed of this gathering...

I hope they not coming here expecting drink... cos it's all gone! Munguin polished the last bottle off with his quails eggs and beans on toast!

Yeah, the Household tax to pay for a bloated massive top heavy organisation of perverts and liars, is just the thing to start trouble.

You can get away with something for a very long time, no matter how unfair and unreasonable it is, but the minute you try to change it to something else unfair and unreasonable, you have trouble on your hands.

I have no idea how they will manage it, but I'm pretty certain that unless the BBC has slimmed to a minute fraction of its present size, started telling the truth and stopped hiding perverts and expense cheats, it really can't expect every household in the land to contribute to its excesses.

This household will not even if the alternative in punishment in law.
