WHY IS HE ASKED TO COMMENT...IS IT FOR COMEDIC VALUE?

The inept, bumbling prediction disaster that is McTeacake gets it spectacularly wrong, yet again.

I bet that Eagle managed to get through that cock up of a campaign launch which was arranged to coincide with the anointment of the reincarnation of Thatcher, and to which, consequently no one came, and thought to herself ... well, in the words of that old New Labour ditty, "Things can only get Better".

Then she saw that McTernan was rooting for her, and just knew, without any shadow of doubt, that her best bet would be to throw in the towel.

IS MS EAGLES TEAM BEING ECONOMICAL WITH THE TRUTH?

Comments from this site and this site include:

"A hotel in Luton was forced to cancel a planned campaign event for Ms Eagle today after receiving threats." The hotel manager has contacted local BBC radio to say that they received NO threats and the reason they cancelled the event is that Eagle's team didn't inform them it was a political event and the hotel has a policy of not holding political events. So, if her team are lying about the hotel incident, it's very hard to believe them about this brick incident.

Nothing to do with the labour party. Brick through window in Merseyside is hardly worth reporting.

The thing that doesn't add up for me apart from the broken glass being on the outside of the building, which has been touched on in other comments is the presence of Jane Kennedy the Merseyside Police and Crime Commissioner. Jane Kennedy speaking from outside of the broken window proclaimed it to be an attack on Democracy; now why would a Police and Crime Commissioner be attending in an official capacity an incident of as yet only proved to be vandalism ? Has she sacked the Police Force ?

If the glass is on the outside of the building (as in the picture above [see article]), the brick can only have been thrown from inside the building.

Before looking at the alleged breaking of a window at Angela Eagles Constituency office let me tell you a little about myself. I lived in Wallasey for 25 years and passed the office most days. My children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren still live in Wallasey and Ms Eagle is their MP.

Demographic of the Constituency office.

Ms Eagles office is adjacent to the car park for Liscard Shopping Centre. The Royal oak pub is directly opposite and two further pubs to the left and the right are no more than 50-100 yards away. It is an area known for trouble and vandalism and this can be checked by FOI. Ms Eagles office is contained within a building with 4-5 other businesses in situ.

When I lived in Wallasey (I left in 2008) there were many incidents of shop windows being broken and many of incidents of wing mirrors being kicked off or body work scratched and car badges taken. My home was broken into and invaded on two separate occasions. It is a poor area with a high incidence of drug use. I therefore found it strange that Ms Eagle, Jane Kennedy (Merseyside Police Commissioner and the whole of the press immediately ‘knew’ the broken glass at Sherlock House was firstly an attack on Ms Eagle, and secondly it had been carried out by a Corbyn Supporter.

There are many variables as to why the window had been broken, vandalism, drunkenness or dissatisfaction with one on the four occupants occupying the premises. However we were told almost immediately the broken window was a Corbyn supporter. Jane Kennedy went so far as to call it a ‘cowardly act’ and informs she will dispatch personal to protect the premises.

As a former resident of Wallasey who endured burglaries, and vandalism a number of times I find Ms Kennedy’s sycophant behaviour inexcusable and left me very angry. Where was her voice speaking out for me and countless other real victims in Wallasey?

The media have been complicit in this ridiculous story of the ‘Curious case of the Broken Window’; lazy downright shabby reporting by media establishments that should know better. In November 2015 the Liscard Christmas tree was vandalised; the tree no more than 50-100 metres away from Eagles office. Did Jeremy Corbyn’s Supporters vandalise the tree? Rake Lane Cemetery 150 metres from Eagles office vandalised, again did Corbyn Supporters have a hand in that? It now transpires it was a window in the shared stairwell and not Miss Eagles office at all.It’s all been a concocted fairy story given credibility by a lazy media.

RANDOM THOUGHTS

Thanks to Bugger le Panda for reminding me on Twitter that The 'Hon' Marie Rimmer MP, is in court tomorrow on a charge of assault against a YES supporter during the referendum campaign.
As Aesop said: You are known by the company you keep. If I were either of them I'm not sure I'd be too happy about that.
So, erm, Angela, which one is it? It can't be both.
Theresa May, you say?
Oh do go away, Straw Man. The Hague is nice at the time of the year.
How many of these rusting subs must we keep in Scotland?
When will they be decommissioned?

ANGELA GETS IT WRONG, I FEAR

Warning

This is going to be either hard-going or side-splitting for you, depending on your point of view.

I could only watch it once, but from memory this is the nuts and bolts of it (in case the sight and sound of her is more than you can take) :

According to Ms Eagle:

Jeremy has lost the confidence of the members of the Labour Party in the country. Well,  on the other hand, I'm not so sure about that, Angela;
She has strong Labour principles, (which is why, among other right wing policies, she voted for the Iraq war, and against the Chilcot Inquiry);

Her constituency party backed Corbyn, but according to her this was due to "disruptive elements" in the "new" membership. She has, she says, more support that it seems... However, according to this article, the vote of her constituency party was 40 for Corbyn, O against and 4 abstentions.  So it seems there are rather a lot of parvenus and no possibly 4 "Longtermers" (who didn't vote against Corbyn) on her executive, or she's got that a bit mixed up;

She says Labour Party rules demand that Corbyn get 50 nominations regardless of the fact that he is the sitting leader (and was roundly elected with just shy of 60% of the vote less than 1 short year ago), but that is certainly open to debate (as can be seen above extract of the rule changes);

When Peston challenges her on this she says that they will decide on the rules on Monday. Damn it. I thought rules were rules;

She goes off on a tangent trying to recruit new members (who presumably she images will back her... and Peston lets her), and then she blames Jeremy for the fact that England (and Wales) voted to leave the EU;

She refuses to answer a question about whether, should she lose to Corbyn, she will serve in a shadow cabinet of his should she be asked to;

She also refuses to answer if she would lead Labour into a 2020 General Election, saying that she is sure that there will be an election soon (despite the fact that Theresa May has said that, if she wins the prime ministerial election currently being played out by the other bunch of inward looking self servers, as she almost surely will, there will be no election);

Angela then wants to talk about how living under the Tories has  been a tragedy for the poor, which is perfectly true. She doesn't mention, though, that many of the harsh things that the Tories did originated in Blair or Brown's governments... Anyone remember ATOS for example?

It strikes me that Peston may or may not have been a reasonably good reporter on financial matters for the BBC, but he's a relative lightweight when it comes to political interviews. Unless, of course, he favours the wing of the party, like DAME Margaret Hodge and LORD Kinnock, that wants to see the back of the kind of Labour that Jeremy Corbyn represents, and one more in keeping with their own elevated and aristocratic status.

THE EAGLE HAS LANDED ... A BLOW TO THE INDEPENDENCE OF THE SCOTTISH BRANCH OFFICE

Maria Eagle has asserted her authority over Scotland and said that the London parliament is in charge of defence and therefore what the Scots decided, either at the Labour Party Branch Conference, or in the Scottish Parliament doesn't matter a fig. Trident renewal will go ahead.

Clearly Ms Eagle would rather spend £167,000,000,000 on murdering people and animals indiscriminately (you can't be too choosy with a nuclear missile... 'Oh mind old Mr Smith, he's 98 and good to children and animals...") than on conventional forces which are needed by hard pressed British forces in today's world of continual war.

Ms Eagle probably dreams that one day she will be the defence secretary in England and may be invited to stand on the same platform as people as important as the American Defense Secretary or the US Secretary of State.

The rush of blood to the head that that brings about almost probably clouds her mind as to what else could be done in this rather deprived country with so many billions of pounds.

It is particularly unfortunate, not to say embarrassing, that the put down should come so soon after Kezia Dugdale announced that she and Jeremy Corbyn had reached an agreement to give Labour autonomy in their Scottish branch. Autonomy not granted to other branch offices.
Baillie: She appears to be saying that the Labour MSPs are not voting out of conviction, but out of loyalty top the party conference?
So who are the actual warmongers?
She told the BBC that if Scotland and England decided to follow different policies on reserved matters, then she and Jeremy would get together and work out what was to be done... come to an accommodation, as it were.

Clearly what is to be done and the accommodation to become to is that some English shadow cabinet politician tells Slab to shut up and sit down. I wonder how Jeremy and Kez came to that accommodation...

I'm reminded of Jim Murphy when he was banging his autonomy drum ("I need to ask no one for permission") and his "there will be no more cuts in Scotland's budget under a future Labour Government", which was met with incredulity and an immediate "back in your box, Spud" put down by his London bosses, Chukka Umunna, Ed Miliband and Ed Balls, desperate to show English voters that they wouldn't be subsidising Scotland.

In the same way Maria clearly wants to reassure the English voters whom she needs to encourage to leave the Tories, that Britannia will continue to rule the world, under the watchful eye of America (or is it China now?) and that the WMDs will continue to be housed safely away from important centres of population, except Glasgow which doesn't matter because it's only full of jocks.

Ms Eagle is joined in this matter by her friend Ms Baillie and everyone friend, John McTernan (ex advisor to the last Labour branch office leader).
****************************************************************
We will continue to provide nuclear protection to all Scots regardless of their intellect
**************************************************************
That's interesting McT. Are you aware that your English leader (the REAL one as opposed to the pretendy Jock one) said he won't use nukes when he is PM? So we won't be protected at all if there's a Labour government.
We just hope Kin Jong Un missed that statement.
Or are you planning, along with the top 1%, to get rid of Jeremy somehow?
Are you also aware that your hero, Tony Hague Blair said in his biography that the nuclear deterrent was all for show?
Baillie voted with the Tories and the Liberals against the government, the Greens and her own party to save the 560 jobs at Faslane, which she seems to have exaggerated into 13,000, with the world's biggest ever job creation scheme. Has she been talking to JK Rowling and getting Harry to magic them?

*********

PS: Please note that although I would have been entitled, virtue of the subject matter of this post to put up another picture of Baillie, I resisted the temptation... just for you guys!

NAD GETS MAD AT BIG BAD DAVE

Nadine Dorries has written an article for the Mail on Sunday entitled: "The PM publicly humiliated me in front of the entire nation, [sic] what did I do to deserve that? "

Hmmm... well, Nadine, the dodgy punctuation (which may be the fault of the Mail subs) apart, I doubt the entire nation tunes in to Prime Minister's Question, or indeed to the news. In fact, a fair percentage of the nation doesn't know who David Cameron is, and almost the entire nation hasn't a clue who or what you are.

So I wouldn't worry too much about the humiliation.

Secondly, you must accept that this is the kind of thing that David Cameron and his sort do. They have never really left the Bullingdon and grown up. They are, and will always remain, as drunken rich boys, with daddies to sort everything with their cheque books. George Gideon Osborne and his "wanker" speech is a perfect example of junior common room humour in the wrong place. Your put down, and that of Labour front bencher Angela "calm down dear" Eagle (with Gideon sitting at his side convulsed with laugh
ter) is typical of their boyish humour.

You must also realise this type forms a sizeable minority of your party and a disproportionate number of the Cabinet, and you need to decide for yourself if you really are in the right place.

On the other hand you need to take into consideration that, on a few occasions, you have caused Cameron a fair amount of embarrassment, so it's not all one way traffic.

Your situation vis a vis expenses was far from exemplary. You accused the Telegraph of McCarthyism! You claimed that MPs were threatening suicide and that they were all telephoning each other to check up that each was still alive! You'll remember your blog being taken down by the service providers because the Telegraph was threatening to sue them! Cameron was acutely embarrassed by all that, at a time when he was trying to show a shocked nation that he was a responsible party leader.

Then there was the time you campaigned against a motion at a TUC Conference calling on employers to stop forcing women to wear high heels at work as part of uniforms. You, presumably without reading the motion properly, thought that they were asking for a ban on high heels being allowed... What a twerp you looked.

Then there was your public criticism of the Speaker and your insinuations that he was mentally unstable... I can say Bercow's as mad as a wee March hare, but Mr Cameron's not my boss, and, unless you do it in the Chamber, officially, with the aim of removing him, Nad, you are supposed to show respect for him, no matter how hard that might be.

What else? Oh yes, there was your taking part in the tv programme where you had to see if you could live on state benefits. But you were caught with a £50 note in your bra. Not only did it run counter to the spirit and the point of the programme, it was also incredibly insulting to claimants.

And what about the fuss you made over benefit claimants who Tweet too much? Report them, to the DWP for Tweeting? "You should be out looking under tones for jobs; not tweeting." Next you'll be wanting to report them for spending too much time in the bathroom! Are you sure it's Bercow that's mad?

Of course your marriage is your business and it can't be easy to be married to someone who is suffering from a degenerative disease, but it was hardly good publicity that you left him. Nor was it good publicity that you have been having an affair with one of your married family friends.

Finally, I've seen you arrive for work in the Chamber looking like you were off for afternoon tea, or about to do a days washing. You really could try to smarten up a bit. Mr Cameron always has a smart blue suit on. You could try that.

All in all, you're not a shining example of what Dave is looking for in an MP, are you, Nad?

So, there you have it. You seem to be happy to dish it out, but you're not so good at taking it. I think you'd better toughen up dear.

Or, as I say, consider if you want to be part of the London branch of elderly Bullingdon Boys.
