CHRISTMAS COMES BUT ONCE A YEAR... BUT AT LEAST IT DOES LAST FOR 3 1/2 MONTHS

Goodness is it Christmas already? It just crept up on me since I first saw Christmas tat in the shops back in September... and then you blink and, well there's my old singing partner giving “Silent Night” her own soulful interpretation, from Reykjavík, Iceland, a couple of years ago at the Frost Roses festival.

So, anyways, Happy Christmas to all the gang.... And take it easy on the sherry Sophia!

  8. Ah... the joy of watching little ones open presents and still be in wonder of it all, Niko. It's like reliving it yourself.

But yes, it's a sobering though that some here in Scotland will sit alone in front of the telly all day trying to keep warm and with tea and toast to sustain them. It shouldn't spoil our Christmas, but we could all give more...

Any way, the resolutions are for next week... and there's a hint because I'll be asking everyone for theirs!! (So get thinking.)

Anyway, I'm glad you have them with you Niko. You'll be ready for bed about 6 pm, I'm guessing.

    Have a lovely day matey...

  10. Thanks Danny. There's something about the soul in Pet Clark's voice that just does it for me. And she is in the French charts with her new cd, at the age of 78!

Actually, she's a bit of an example to us all. No need to get old... I'm not going to anyway!

Have a lovely day Danny... although after Thanksgiving, aren't you a bit fed up with turkey?

    ;¬)

  11. LOL@Tris....I don't even like turkey that much. But American holiday tradition must be observed. ;-)

  12. I was excused the sprouts this year Danny....LOL..

And my mum makes the most excellent oatmeal and onion stuffing for turkey, but amazingly after we had eaten, the whole dish of it was discovered, untouched, in the kitchen!

    Duh...

  13. Nothing the matter with sprouts what other vegetable mimics another so that you can get a whole one in your mouth at once.

    Happy Holidays

  16. Oh Tris....It's dreadful to miss the Stuffing. As for the turkey, I can take it or leave it. But I LOVE the stuffing.

  17. I know Danny. I says something about the amount of wine that had been consumed that no one, including my mum, noticed its absence.

But, you know, we both left with a great big bag full of stuff, so there is almost literally tonnes of stuffing to be eaten today!

So my dinner tonight with be Stuffing, with Turkey!

  18. Sorry I didn't find this in time for Christmas....or for that matter in time for Tris' blog entry about politically correct [bleep]mas celebrations.

Anyway, from your friends at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee (the world mecca of "country music"), a very Merry [bleep]mas! There was once a time when only clueless rednecks resided in the Tennessee mountains, but I'm happy to say that political correctness has arrived in Nashville. (Lyrics attached for Scottish dudes who may be mystified by Tennessee mountain English.)
