Whitehall send DWP workers in Scotland (10.000 folk) memo urging them to vote no, Whitehall deny it, Alex Salmond demands an apology, from Whitehall for their underhand tricks.
Not quite sure how people in the DWP feel about management, but when I worked there, and then worked closely with them for a number of years afterwards, the management was HATED with a passion by most staff. I have no reason to believe that that has changed.
I can only imagine that that will have been seriously counterproductive.
We shall need a similar department in Scotland; there will be jobs for them.
Munguin is wondering if all civil servants were ordered to vote with the government in the referendum on the Scottish parliament?
Were they given instructions of the AV referendum?
Were they told how to vote on the last EU referendum?
Will they be told how to vote on the next EU referendum?
Umm ! Given how Alex Salmond and he snp bully boys have been putting the frighteners on Scottish Civil servants and any business indiiduals which dare to put there heads above the parapet.
Pot kettle black seems appropriate here
Alex Salmond's most senior civil servant has been accused of keeping a controversial meeting between his officials and SNP strategists "shrouded in secrecy" amid claims taxpayers' money is helping fund the independence campaign.
Sir Peter Housden, permanent secretary of the Scottish Government, has disclosed that no minutes were taken during a discussion between government and party staff about the White Paper, the Nationalists' blueprint for independence.
As Alex sows so shall he reap or if you like.
For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind:
Were they given instructions of the AV referendum?
Were they told how to vote on the last EU referendum?
Will they be told how to vote on the next EU referendum?
well hell yeah by the snp bully boys you wanna wage rise you wanna promotion you wanna keep your job under the snp dictact then you best do as the snp bully boys order ya.
A leading light of the energy industry today revealed he fears for Scotland’s future if it votes for independence and warned it would have just 15 years left before depleting North Sea oil reserves began to hit jobs and the economy.
Hasn't he heard about the two new oil fields that are in the process of coming online on the east coast of Shetland ? One is estimated to bear fruit for 35 years, and the other 50 years.....I'm not even interested in the oil "argument" , but even I've seen factual information regarding them.
Thanks to Munguin and Tris

Yes...we all know the oil will run out next Tuesday week.
DeleteThat's why the oil companies have invested record billions in the last year.
Try again Niko. This one is probably looking for a seat in the Lords.
