BETTER TOGETHER, OR NOT?

So, what were they all about, these annoying ads that got pulled because of complaints from people who went to the cinema to see a film and not a political campaign?

By now you would think that Ukok and Nob Orders would have worked out that the Yes Campaign has plenty of people who will analyse every word they say and pull it to pieces.

So, if you believe we are Better Together, you'd better have a more intelligent reason than...well, we just are.

Starring....
Rory "Alex Salmond speaks a lot of sense" Elrick with the FM

  1. But, surely he's an unpolished, genuine, punter; with real concerns for our future. No, just a jobbing actor.

    1. Not quite as unpolished as some, I'd say...

Of course, when you are young (and in particular a politics student), you're entitled to change your mind about politics.

Someone once said to me that if at 18 you weren't a socialist you had no heart; and at 40 if you weren't a Tory, you had no head...

      Dunno it that's true.

The more you learn, the more life changes you, the more you see... the more you change.

      So I don't criticise him.

Just another one of these things that they seem to get wrong. If I were the director of the film I'd not have made him the star knowing that he had once tweeted a pic of himself and Eck saying he talked sense.

Still, I wonder what they got paid for doing that film...

f the money is good and the director doesn't mind your background maybe I have a chance, although I'm not quite as photogenic as Rory! :(

    2. You will always find people with sharp elbows trying to get to the front of any queue.

    4. In my late 40's and still a socialist, a real one, not one of those Labour in Scotland types. JimnArlene

    6. You're welcome Tris, I know it's hard to believe but, we do still exist. I suspect that you are one too, go on be honest. Though I will say, f**k the red flag, we'll keep the Saltire flying here?

    7. Yes, I think I probably am. It's what I want for Scotland.

But yes...not the red flag. The Saltire is fine for me.

We don't want to turn into Bulgaria!

  2. Err...

I don't understand any of the comments above. Is Rory Elric famous or summat?

    Not in my world.

The video at the top of this piece is excellent.

    1. Well he is now...

It is good Douglas. It shows how empty their arguments are. Paper thin.

If what we have at the moment is better, I'd hate to see worse.

    1. Aye, that sounds like you... last minute.

Will I forewarn Ruthie that you'll be around to pledge your fidelity?

Or would that be too much for your BP.

Take care mate, take the pills and take it easy...and GET BETTER (but not together).

    2. Something is wrong with my head, I just cannot get round that Tory thingy. Still socialist and coming up for 67 so no curing me. Seems I must be mad in some strange way. Mind the number of times I have been accused of being one of those (shivers) I could probably afford a really good bottle of whisky.

  5. Meant to say that I had not got my earphones this morning so could not hear dear old Rory and Company. I can take it they were all well paid for their efforts, what ever happened to the rebellious youth of today. We were,my pals and I used to go to hotels and bars which had folk singers who sang almost war songs about independence. Now we have the craven four, was it?

What do we want? Oh just some more of the same.
