  1. I wonder what sort of bad news news Cameron and co are trying to hide this week?

  2. Jimmy Savile spent Christmas day eleven years on the trot at number ten Downing street, with Margaret and Denis Thatcher, you're not going to tell men that MI5/6 hadn't vetted or known what type of man Savile was, beforehand.

Savile was well known within Royal circles, as an obtainer take from that what you will, it was said that he was also councillor in the break up of Charles and Diana's marriage, Savile frequented St James palace, and often groped the staff, top policemen would often met Savile on a Friday at his flat, where they would keep Savile abreast of possible accusations it was known as the Friday club.

If you wish to learn much more, about Savile and his political and Royal connections then, go to www.chrisspivey .co.uk

    1. When someone was hinting that there were top people at Downing Street involved in unsavoury sexual scandal, Thatcher's press officer Lord Ingham (why do press officers become Lords?) was quick to point out that it was impossible for that to happen because Dennis would never have allowed it.

Now, I take the point that has been made that this man has never been tried for anything, and has never been found guilty.

I also take Niko's point that there are bound to be people who will figure that a bit of compensation from whoever might come their way if they say that Savile interefered with them.

Added to that there are some other people of the same age groups, Ken Roache and Dave Travis who had these allegations made against them but were found innocent.

But surely all these people aren't lying. Surely there are just too many allegations for him to be innocent.

Vetting seems not to be terribly effective or efficient in Downing Street. MI Whatever seem to be awffy handing at finding weapons of mass destruction that don't exist, and missing criminal behaviour in people right at the heart of government and in the royal family.

Thanks for the link Anon. I'll give it a look.

    1. Maybe because he had a reputation for doing good. The man with pots of money who gave up his Saturdays to be a hospital porter...

Even folk who thought he was repulsive with his silly noises and daft voices "Ows about that then, guys and girls?", thought he was a bit of an angel.

At the BBC he was a star, and stars can do what they want.

I thought he was repulsive, but it was his silly mannerisms I disliked and the daft clothes and cheap nasty entertainment.

There are supposed to be other people in high circles who were into a variety of things....

  5. seems to me IF Saville had done half of what is alleged he wouldn't
of had time to do anything else.
The twat who claimed Saville had sex with the dead was ??? told by the man in charge of the mortuary who is of course dead and not in position to confirm or deny the truth of said bullshite.

For every person who cry out they were abused there are two legal representatives
trying to get the victim ?? compensation and themselves a pot of gold in fees,
All you need is a pic of you meeting jim then you can claim he abused you and
put in for compensation which the Government have said they will underwrite..why ???

    1. Seems that he fitted it into everything else he did... Allegedly he was at the BBC fondling people in his dressing rooms... he was at the hospitals and mental homes, doing what he was doing...

But as I said above, I'm sure you are right, there are bound to be people who have come forward who are on to a good thing in compensation.

Why is the government underwriting it though...

If it happened at the BBC let them do it.

If it happened in Broadmoor let the English Prison service sort it.

If it was Stoke Mandeville let them pay.

The government usually don;t want to part with money unless it is to millionaire or royal princes.

    2. The government will protect the BBC the voice of propaganda as financially it could reduce their ability to do what they are for.

  6. I read the Guardian article Inside the mind of Jimmy Savile

The article is pretty poor but the comments are interesting. Read through them and you'll find that gossip about Jimmy Saville's sexual activities was doing the rounds back in the 70s and 80s.

Why was a Radio 1 DJ given the keys to Broadmoor and free access and board in numerous hospitals across the UK?

One of the big questions raised was who was really in the know about Saville and why was nothing done to stop him?

One possibility was that Saville had what you might call "fellow travellers" in positions of power in the Establishment and that's why nothing came out before he was dead.

    1. Thanks for the link Doug. I'll read that.

It seems to me he was treated like some sort of saint.

Howe did he have these connections? Fellow travellers is a sound possiblity.

I'm not suggesting for a second that Thatcher was a fellow traveller though. I think despite her obvious intelligence, she was probably a naive woman with a one track mind... Her career and being the greatest prime minister ever in the world.

    1. The thing that annoys me is that it is simply not true.

The States of jersey and Guernsey have different immigration from the UK and yet there is no border control when flying there, even though they are outside the EU.

The Republic of Ireland also has different immigration controls even though it has a land border with the UK.

At the height of the troubles, friends of mine crossed the border every few days to buy petrol and shopping (cheaper in ireland at the time).

The cost of building a border would be phenomenal. And as Scotland has no desire for one, would fall as a burden on the British tax payer.

The Border Agency is pruned to the minimum, They have no idea who is in the country and who is not. I can't see them getting all that money for what would be a show of petulance.
