ARBROATH'S BATTLE BUS...

As promised a wee while ago, here's Arbroath's Battle Bus doing the business for Joan McAlpine's campaign in Sunny Dumfries.

  1. Her political opponents will of course make full use of the 'gas guzzling' 4x4 which "causes more damage than WMDs, pollutes the atmosphere and is a hazard to schoolchildren', ad nauseam. I drive one so I've heard them all.

    1. Hi George,

Yes, they may try that. On the other hand, if you have a team of people (there's 10 there) to get around the constituency, with banners and leaflets etc, it's probably more environmentally friendly than 2 or 3 cars.

After all, when Jim was wandering around the country telling us all how much better we were together, he didn't move from town to town on an Irn Bru crate, and old Anas's bus was a lot bigger than Arbroath's one.

I wonder what the Tories are using to transport Fluffy Junior around.

    3. They can try George but would YOU want to argue with red bandana girl? LOL

On the plus side when the local roads are flooded where we live WE are one of the few who the police allow to continue driving on the normal route to Annan everyone else is diverted via A75! LOL

On the question of Baby Fluff's transport I have not personally seen it but have it on good authority that it is a wee car with a couple of A4 HAND WRITTEN signs stuck to a couple of windows. LOL

    5. LOL @bringiton and Dan

Arbroath: There's no doubt that they come in handy in the country (even if they are a pain in towns).

I forgot to mention that Baby Fluff can't use a hearse with a coffin. They are all tied up being used to cart off Labour EX M.S.P.'s. LOL

  4. typical snp fanatic roaring around in the 'gas guzzling' 4x4 which "causes more damage than WMDs, pollutes the atmosphere and is a hazard to schoolchildren' and the elderly mounting curbs driving the wrong way down one way streets...And tying chains to Labour supporters front doors then fixing
them to the gas guzzler tow bar and ribbing the door of and then speeding away laughing ....

Is one of the worst insults imaginable ......how the other half lives..

  6. This will upset some people, but she should have stuck to journalism, where she does excel. As a politician, well....

As for the 4x4, I'm not one to comment as I'd like one, but it blows a hole in the SNP green credentials.

I won't be about for a bit (at least till I sort out a cheapo wifi connection!), so good luck with the blog, Tris. I do enjoy visiting here and in my view it is probably the most sensible of all pro-indy blogs, and that includes the regular commentators.

    2. Personally speaking Zog I find her 100% better an M.S.P. than the alternative ... the poisoned dwarf. I am not just saying that cause I'm biased either.

As for the 4X4 it is obviously OUR choice and has nothing whatsoever to do with either Joan or the SNP. One thing above all else is that the SNP do allow people to think for themselves and consequently make their own decisions. In my case the 4X4 is is ideal for me and my health problems. I no longer have to bend down to get in or out a car I just slide straight into my seat.
