SNAPS ON SUNDAY

WHAT A GRIM THOUGHT
BLESS HIM... MR BLAIR
BEST TO STAY QUIET IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING
IT'S NOT ABOUT PARTIES UNTIL THE REFERENDUM'S OVER
HARD ONE RIGHT ENOUGH... NO WAIT, IT'S NOT

AREN'T WE DOING WELL WITH THE UK? WELL, THEY ARE OECD FIGURES, NOT  THE SNP'S
ERM WHERE, GIDIOT?
YEAH WHATEVER, NICK... OH LOOK THERE'S A PIG JUST FLOWN OVER YOUR LEFT SHOULDER...
BETTER TOGETHER?...DON'T MAKE ME LAUGH
DIDN'T DO THEM MUCH HARM
ALMOST BEYOND BELIEF. ALL THAT MONEY WASTED WHEN IT IS SO BADLY
NEEDED ELSEWHERE, TO MAKE POSH BOYS LOOK IMPORTANT
WHEN YOU HEAR THEIR POLICIES OR THE STANDARD OF DEBATE, IT'S NOT THAT STARTLING TO DISCOVER THAT SO MUCH SUBSIDISED DRINK IS AVAILABLE TO THEM IN THEIR WORKPLACE
THAT'S A HELL OF A LOT OF HOUSEHOLDS TO BE POOR GIVEN WHAT A RICH COUNTRY WE ARE
A BIT LIKE AN AFRICAN DICTATORSHIP REALLY. THE RULING CLASSES LIVE IN SPLENDOUR AND THE POOR GRUB AROUND IN THE EARTH FOR SOMETHING TO EAT. OH WELL, THAT USUALLY ENDS IN A COUP D'ETAT
AND THE WESTMINSTER GOVERNMENT WILL HELP YOU FUND THEM
ANOTHER GIDIOTIC IDEA
WHO COULDN'T MANAGE ON THEIR OWN?

  1. Labour in secret deal with Iain Duncan Smith on benefit sanctions – Michael Meacher MP

If Labour does not now take a stand and fight back hard, it will lose its core support and have no right to call itself a party of social justice.

Tell us something new. Sorry for being OT, not really, but I thought your readers would appreciate that even aLbour backbenchers realise that there front bench are red Tories in disguise.

    Vote YES on 18/09/2014.

  2. Nothing much is off-topic at Munguin's Republic, CH.

That piece comes directly from Meacher's own blog.

I don't know how anyone who is "Labour" could possibly vote for that party.

The unemployed, the sick and disabled, now we see the campaign start on the foreigners, with the two parties battling to be the more hard line. Next comes the old.

  3. Bedroom tax, attacks on the ill, infirm, disabled, elderly, unemployed, low paid, work fare, tuition fees, WMD's, patients to pay for their own meals in hospital (England and Wales), doctors to charge a call out fee (England and Wales), prescription charges (over £7.00 in England), further cuts to armed services and police (England and Wales), further cuts to benefits (Westminster claim £2.5 Billion but ACTUAL figure is £4.5 Billion), illegal wars.

Hmm, can some one please remind me why continuing to be part of this broken union is GOOD news?

    1. NOPE!

A few months ago I did some work that compared the deficits as a percentage of GDP in 2011 (last reliable figures available). Using an average of Eurostat, IMF and CIA projections it was found that out of 170 sovereign states the UK debt level (the amount spent in the UK more than was raised in taxes) was poorly placed at 150th.

The really bad news is the UK is 188th out of 192 nations in terms of the strength of its current account balance. We have a critical balance of payments problem that is in danger of sinking the UK economy without a trace. That is a direct result of keeping the pound strong to help the finance industry (predominately based around the city of London) and this also led to deindustrialisation in Scotland and the UK regions. In 2007 and 2008 I met with Bank of England representatives including Monitory Policy Committee (MPC) members and urged them to curb the excess lending from the finance industry. I was told in no uncertain terms that, Scotland had never had it so good. The words eye, off, and the ball, come to mind.

    2. Didn't someone say that we were better together, Arbroath. Some old blokey with white hair.

And he's a politician so it must be the truth.

    3. Excellent piece CH.

I think I might use it, because it is really important to debunk what the idiot Darling (the failed big time chancellor) is saying.

    4. That wouldn't be the same bloke who is under investigation......AGAIN, for doing "naughty things" with his expense claims......AGAIN by any chance would it? :D

If it is the same bloke then was he not also the same bloke who did a "Nero" and sat and played his fiddle along with yon other utterly useless bloke while Rome, I mean City of London burned? :D

    5. Is he under investigation AGAIN? Heavens, I didn't know that.

I wonder who is paying his hotel expenses and travelling expenses when he is working for BT instead of actual full time job?

  4. Good selection again. I think people might not read the first poster as just the sight of Camerson would make them move on. Good Trident poster despite it being a bit wordy.

  6. Labour in the UK Parliament might oppose nothing but Labour in the Scottish Parliament oppose everything!

    1. Yes, that's the Willie Bain principle. Whatever the SNP proposes, we are against it, even if it is our policy.

      Witless pratt.
