SOPPY SUNDAY

Thanks again to Gerry for First Pic

  1. Cracking pics. A bit of calm after what has not been a good week for the SNP (apart from retaining the council seats).

    Incidentally, what loch is in the pic? Looks familiar.

    1. Well Zog, you need a break from politics, and why not Sunday... it's as good as any other day.

      Not sure what the loch is called but it's up by Kingussie

      Not, I think, been a good week for Labour either.

      The embarrassments of
      been caught out lying over privatisations;
      the instruction to use the world S******d as little as possible (to make sure that we all forget the fact that we live in a separate country);
      the cringeworthy education video with 7 year olds who are interested in gender pay gaps, and the fact that Stuart Campbell then pointed out that Labour had complained in the strongest terms about the SNP visiting a school;
      Jeremy's U-turns;
      the shadow cabinet criticising the leader openly for his stance on Trident;
      looking like they won;t even be the opposition next year.

      Actually the Tories haven't had much of a week either.

      What with Pigs that just won't go away, and the fact that the Manchester venue is virtually sealed off from the public as they try to keep Tories and ordinary humans apart.

      But by next week most of these things will be forgotten.

  3. It's Loch Gynack. Thought it was Loch Insh as I've been there. Must have visited Gynack at some point can't remember when. Nice place anyway.

  4. Lovely that's cheered me up on end. The puppy and bambi - so cute. Baby orang looking as knackered as I feel and the beautiful bear cubs. It must be Sunday.

    Project Fear seems unabated at the moment. MSM are doing their best to ensure that there isn't a second majority government next year. Someone should have told them about the boy that cried wolf. Spoiler - didn't end well!!

    1. It's Sunday, PP. You're right.

      I think we should be seriously grateful to Wings and Stuart for consistently revealing what they MSM decided would not be in our interests to know... or rather would not be in THEIR interests to know.

      Corking misinformation about the police, provided by all the MSM.

      Anyway, prepare for a few days of hearing how, while starving more old and sick people to death, Britain will be spending more money on drones the better to kill brown skinned people in the Middle East; save them coming here and diluting Great British Values of fair play and cricket.

      Better Together, eh?

    2. We have had a few hysterical press witch hunts before. Remember Lunchgate before the 2011 elections? It went on for a couple of weeks,

      Lovely pictures - the thistle look like it is going to burst into song.

    3. OK Marcia. You got me there. Lunchgate isn't ringing any bells, although, I bet when you tell me, it will come flooding back.

      I take no stand on whether Michelle is guilty of anything or not. She does seem to have been unlucky with scandals, given the dating database on which she appeared, along with thousands of other people who had had their details stolen.

      Now this property deal scandal. I'm not saying someone wants her taken down, but it does sound a bit like it.

      However, it would be naive to believe that only unionist politicians can be bad, so I keep an open mind. I'll say that both she and the party acted quickly so that while the situation is investigated, she is not a part of the SNP. In fairness both the Labour party and the Tories did that with Straw and Rifkind. In their cases they were found to have not broken any rules, although they were clearly guilty of being greedy grasping spivs. It was caught on camera. They were saying that they were worth £5000 a day and poor Mr Rifkind couldn't live on £66,000 + all the other little things he had going.

      We can only wait to see what happens over Michelle.

      Now you mention it I see Kenneth McKellar in that thistle... :)

    1. Thanks for your nasturtiums, Gerry.

      I've got loads in my garden, all from a few seeds I planted years ago. They re seed over and over again.

      They are excellent in salads, and every part of them can be eaten, flowers, leaves, stems, seeds...

      Yum!
