RUTH DAVIDSON IGNORING PEOPLE

  1. That's ok, we can ignore her and her ilk in a few short months.

    1. It would only be fair to do that.

It's too near election time to be ignoring people.

  2. If you can Tris, I'd love to shake the hand of the person who slapped he mug with a fresh fish to get her to look like that! LOL

    1. I don't think that the fish was fresh, Arbroath.

  3. Misery guts, indeed.

Any chance the state of her miserable physog is related to the recent Unionist gubbing and tanking at the by-elections in a place which shall not be named and to which she tried to offer a humped Tank Commander's shiny gloss to?

Viva, Woofie, for soon there'll only be Mun(d)ell left holding the thin Red Line in "Jockistan".

    1. Well, David, it could well be that.

I had it down to the fact that she was subjected to questions which she didn't like. She's used to being asked if she thinks that the SNP is bad and does she think the SNP could do better. Faced with questions that weren't about the SNP being bad... she was stumped for an answer.

  4. PS Neither "Morningside" Murray o' the Butcher's Apron Apparel nor Carmichael count for their respective, humiliating reasons:)

    1. And Muddle counts because...erm...huh...erm... ahhh ... Nope, it still beats me. I'm a bit like Ruthie there. I just don;t have an answer!

  5. I'm pretty concerned that the police seem to be ignoring a case of assault upon the protesting camerawoman. Is this being investigated?

    1. I guess it depends if she went to a station and reported it to a more senior officer. Clearly none of the officers there gave a damn. They are there to protect the Tories from the public. not the public from the Tories.

  6. And there we see the real, traditional face of the Tories. Never mind Ruth's smiling joviality when there's a BBC or Sky News camera around, she tells us there what she thinks of people. With no words. Welcome to Britain.

    1. The BBC ask the kind of questions she has answers to, Iain.

And even if they ask a question she doesn't know, they will always accept an SNP bad answer.

Unionist politicians are rarely confronted by anything difficult.

I have to say Jon Snow's interview with the Eton Boy on the subject of Saudi Arabia was a rare exception... but that, of course, was not the BBC.

  7. Aye, wee Ruthieless, doing her "I've stopped talking to ordinary people, because I want a safe Westminster seat next year when I don't get elected to Holyrood" public persona.

She should merge seamlessly into the Tory (or Labour) front benches, where both parties appear to have Not Talking to Their Constituents as #1 on their agendas.

    1. LOL Yes. Lesson number one in the politicians training course. How to ignore the public (only to be used between elections).

  8. Obviously she does not understand what a politician is supposed to do - meet and greet the public. They may not like you, or vote for you but as an elected representative you have a responsibility to everyone. At least you would earn their respect for taking the time to listen.

I've never rated her as a leader. I honestly thought Murdo Fraser was more suitable for the role. I don't particularly like him, but definitely more preferable. Davidson is a poor opposition leader, something Holyrood does need.

    1. I agree. I think Fraser at least had the right idea about saying goodbye to the toxic brand of the Tories and starting a new right of centre party free from the baggage of the past. I might have worked a bit.

Ruth was David's choice. He even sent her spin doctors to the frozen north to help her out. Just like Jim was the London leaders' choice for Labour, and was about as wrong as could be, so was Ruth.

By comparison with Annabel Goldie ...she's off the scale bad.

  9. I once called her Rosie when commenting about her on one of those English Newspapers. I still think of her as wee Rosie even though I know she is wee bitter Ruthie. Somehow you just know she is a Unionist, they are always bitter.

  10. Hurrah, you have no idea how hard it was to get my comment on your excellent site, but I have finally managed it.

    1. I'm sorry you are having problems Helena.

      We've not changed anything here.

      Rosie? Not very, I'd say.

    2. Here I go again, no the problem is mine and still continuing, thought I had sorted it. Windows 10 and old computer now, had to to do a clean up and then I did another last night, lost all my connections so having to re do them. Aye Ruth is hardly Rosie is she, Kezia is a bit of a fool, but then her mentor is not that bright, just well connected methinks.

I noted with interest that both Davidson and Dugdale have moved their list seats for the election to Edinburgh because of ehem being in the capital. I think it's because they both know that they would get their arses kicked out on the West Coast and it shows how cynical and awful these two alleged politicians are. I saw NS kick RD ass on FMQs today, missed Dugdale but it looks like she was her usual awful Jackie Baillie's dark apprentice. They are both a joke, Davidson being in charge for the worst ever GE result in Scotland says it all too.

    1. I see Dugdale is actually standing in a constituency. Risky. Specially as it's the constituency from which £10,000 appears to have gone missing.

I think Ruth is on the list... I don't see her risking a constituency.

Mixed messages coming from the polls on how the Tories will do in this country... between badly and very badly.

    2. In many of the regions, assuming the polls are consistent and correct, then each 9% or so of the vote is going to get a list seat. For Ruthie to flit it probably makes sense as the West coast seats are likely to be a bit tighter than the East coast for the Conservatives.

Kezia on the other hand, is probably in a less powerful position viz a viz the Labour machine on the West coast. Maybe she could not secure top position on say the Glasgow list. To save face she maybe goes East with some dodgy excuse.

    3. Do you know how they decide the list order in the Tory party Saor? Will she be at the top of then list?

Kezia is at the moment a Lothian List MSP. Of course she should stay on that list as well as stand for the constituency, in order to be sure of getting a seat.

  12. I never paid any attention to the tory list, but I'll dig about. I am most interested in the Labour list, because I think they are unlikely to get many FPTP seats, but in some regions I think they will get 5 list seats. I think the polls underestimate Labour votes in the central belt, and overestimate Conservative votes. Across the whole country they are both polling about 20%, but they have pockets where that is way off what is likely. If you compare the vote shares in May with Holyrood last time, Labour are only down a bit. They are not getting elected, but they are not being eclipsed by Ruthie's batallion either.

Labour are supposedly producing their list in November. I would like to know if some of the May Zombies are going to be on lists, and where. If Wee Dougie or Skeletor get high list places they will be back to torment us. Part of Labour's poor performance is the poor quality of the "talent" elected to their list last time.

    1. Let us know if you find anything out then please.

I agree that Labour will be the opposition in June. David Cameron has been suggesting that they could be the government. Of course he lives in a weird world where anything is possible becasue of old school ties, but that would be beyond even the Eton and Oxford connections.

It will be interesting to see who is on their lists, and know how they are constructed. I've heard that Sarwar is hoping to stand, but nothing about the others.

Labour's problem is that they send their best people to London, their second best stand for constituencies, and last time round they expected to get a lot of them. They didn't... meaning that they did much better on list seats, which were largely populated by 3rd 4th and 5th choices. Driftwood.

This time they know that they have to put their best people onto lists.

I can;t see Dougie Alexander standing, and surely Skeletor couldn't risk the humiliation of only being able to get elected by being on a list, and then working under his precious assistant?
