    1. Thanks.

It would be appropriate if they indeed were... but to be honest they look a bit like Petunias to me...

  2. The cat one made me smile - it reminds me of our late cat.

    1. Cute as a button... My favourite is the wee half drowned looking beast leaning on the man's boot... but I'm a sucker for a hard luck story.

I fished a wasp out of a bucket of water the other day, and put him on a plank of wood in the sun, then I blew on him gently to try to get him dry and when he started moving around a little I sat over him to make sure that a bird didn't come down and eat him... It took about half an hour for him to dry out enough to use his wings, although he had a snooze for about 5 mins, when I thought he had died.

It made me late, but I felt better about myself all day. I saved a life.

    1. Oh yes it's a real photo, though the panda had been eating bamboo all day so looks stuffed.

    4. You know I looked at that one a couple of times and though maybe it had a bad haircut, bleeding thing is stuffed, as stuffed as my Hugo, who is a brown bear, well what else would he be in my household.

  5. Is that Maggie Curran perched on a giant's hand? Tris, you must have good eyesight to see that the wasp was a "he"?

    1. Hmmm. That bird is not best happy to have been compared with Curran. You'll get a good pecking if ever it gets its beak anywhere near you.

Erm yes... I have to admit it was a bit of a guess that the wasp was male. I can't be sure but he was a lazy animal and it took him forever to get better, so I'm suspecting he was a boy wasp.

    1. Please don;t invite me to any of your family dos, Niko. Munguin doesn't like discussing illnesses. It reminds him of his own mortality, even though he's only 7!

  7. Well I loved the one of the pterodactyl, or is it a baby heron? All the cat/kitten pictures including the guy cuddling his potential slayers. The Sunset, the violas and the ducklings in the petunia's I thought nasturtiums at first. Wearing my duck feet today, yellow crocs, lovely with my black trousers, being wee the resemblance is uncanny, and I am saying that.In fact I love all the pictures.
Commiserations to Niko, at least you were not introduced to the orphan's parents at a wedding. We were told the Bride was an orphan then we met the Brides parents. Heads were scratched that
day I can tell you. In your case pleased to meet you seems the best answer.

    1. I have long since decided that family get togethers are not for me. I'm usually very polite but I'm not sure I could do that with my family any more.

John thinks that the heron is Maggie Curran!

I really hope that (s)he's OK... Even though I don't like cats (s)he would have a home here.
