Not just his leaky subs Tris.I wonder if we are beginning to see some *ahem* going away presents from the M.O.D.First off we hear about this.http://tinyurl.com/nbmvvqcNow today, we hear about this.http://tinyurl.com/nel5bppI sincerely hope this is NOT an attempt by the M.O.D. trying to woo us rebellious Scots onto their side and vote NO in order to keep Trident on the Clyde. If it is I have some bad news for them...it aint working! LOL
An MoD spokeswoman said: “This exercise was part of training for staff at RNAD Coulport. I’m afraid I can’t say any more than that.” She said that it was “not related in any way” to Exercise Joint Warrior, a huge NATO exercise currently taking place around Scotland. The spokeswoman pointed out that the Coulport exercise took place in “a remote area”. She added: “We apologise for any distress caused to the local community by the loud noises. We will ensure advance warning is given for any future training.”It's an afterthought to agree to give warning of loud explosive noises coming from a place where nuclear weapons are stored? "What? And it's in a remote area? So 150 people living on the opposite shore don't count....? Won't bother telling the peasants. They can sit there expecting any moment to be turned into a crisp... who cares?
Maybe my memory is faulty but I seem to recall a previous ''leak' where the Tories at some meeting were not totally against Scottish independence. Does anyone reall the details?
Don't remember that one John... I'd like to know the details.Anyone?
I think it could be Hammond.See the link for my theories;http://whitefeatherclub.wordpress.com/2014/03/31/it-could-be-hammond/
Interesting theory WFC.Possibly timed to embarrass the government on the same weekend as the first same sex marriages took place. Mr Hammond was opposed to this law and had a falling out with Cameron over it.
TrisPeople shouldn't get their nickers in a twist over this, I don't know anyone who really cares about a currency union and the ones I do know appear to support a seperate Scottish currency all together. The issue of nuclear weapons is non negotiable for me, no not in my name. These things are a waste of money in every way and it's bad enough we have them but also have the other Tory/Fibdem/labour weapon of mass shame and confidence destruction the foodbank. This is just not worth the hassle anymore at all, it's nothing compared to democracy. Good to see the nay sayers and the trio of toilet scum suffer though.Bruce
The nuclear weapons are not up for negotiation, Bruce. The SNP would be finished if they went back on that. It's one of the most popular policies.
I see Bill Munro the CEO of Barrhead Travel is fearbombing his 500 or so staff by telling them independence would be a disaster for them. How so when in an independent Scotland APD (Air Passenger Duty) would be all but abolished giving Scotland a significant advantage over the "Dark Star" that is London.Mr Munro who constituency MP is Jim Murphy (Says it all really) said he's only voicing his opinion, maybe so but when his opinion is intended to influence his staff to vote no, it takes on a more sinister approach. In my opinion a no vote would be a disasterous vote for Scotland's travel agency business, with London due to build a third runway to add to its immense hub, it would completely such the life from Scots airports, and with no advantage over APD, the picture becomes very bleak indeed. No what Scotland needs after independence is its own hub, something that will attract plane companies to land their flights in Scotland, which in turn would boost tourism and actually help, travel agencies, and not hinder them, surely Mr Munro knows this, which leads me to believe he has an alternative agenda.
