"THE SCOTS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SET AN EXAMPLE FOR US ALL"

  1. Just goes to show, eh?
No matter how isolated the BBC and the MSM try to make us feel, we are not alone.

I've also noticed on Wings that a significant number of contributors to the AMAZING crowdfunding appeal are from beyond our borders.

    1. Yes Eck, when the fool Cameron begged people to phone us and ask us to stay, really the only one who did it was David Bowie, who, having left the UK 30 year ago and didn't even turn up to deliver the message in person, was hardly an ideal example.

Most people tweeted get the hell out while you can...

As for the fund raising, I found it incredibly touching.

No matter what Stewart has worked his socks off for Scotland. He deserves a hundred thousand, and at this rate may well get it.

The idiotic comments of the likes of Hothersall are like water off a duck's back to him...as well they should be.

Munguin was thinking of having a fundraiser but I convinced him that €1,50 wouldn't take him very far....

    2. I don't know, Tris - does he qualify for a bus pass? Anywhere in Scotland.....which is all you need! :)

  2. A border, Eck, is just a line on a bot of paper or an imaginary one one some land.

I may live outside the limits of Scots law but I still "live" in Scotland

    1. Yes, and today borders are nothing. People travel so much. Half my friends are from somewhere else in the world, but they live, work, study in Scotland because its a great place to be... and all the ones that can, will be voting for independence.

T’es toujours là, parmi nous, Urchin

    2. It's not so much that you still "live" in Scotland, Urchin, it's that Scotland lives in you - wherever you are!

    1. I didn't realise you knew the vast majority of English folk, niko.
Was that 'knew' in the biblical sense?

    2. Well, as CH says.... can you justify that statement with any evidence.

It may of course be true after all we do subsidise them quite heavily.

    3. Niko knows everyone and all things even that Ian Gray was going to be the next FM in 2011 so we must feel some sympathy for his lack of genetic material.

    4. I'm sure he has plenty of genetic material. It's why he keeps a box of tissues next to his laptop.

    1. They want out oil money.

But, by the same token, probably most Europeans want England to stay in their union. But they won't get a vote and the English don't care what they want... quite rightly.

My point about Bowie of course is that he's barely set foot in dear old Blighty these last 30 years!

US to him surely means United States.
